Veterinary Clinics Aruba
January 2008 - CaribMedia launches the website of Veterinary Clinics Aruba (VKA). It wasn't a media spectacle like the launch of the CBS website, but the clinics are very delighted to offer their clients a new way of contacting the clinics. Some challenges were met during development as VKA opened up several new clinics on the island, and hired many new employees.
Vets can now be contacted directly through the website, and the site also offers interesting community features: alert messages when outbreaks occur, newsletters for returning customers and stories about pets and their adventures in (and out of) the doctors office.
The site has a fresh looking design, and is also CaribMedia's first use of Google Maps, which can be expected to be seen more in the future.

Central Bureau of Statistics
January 2008 - CaribMedia launches the website of CBS during an official launch party at Surfside Marina. Minister Nilo Swaen first applauded the work of CBS over tha past decades. Then Martijn Balkesteijn of CBS gave a demonstration of the website, showing how easy information can be downloaded. This is a big step for CBS, because now anyone interested in the freely available statistics can not only download, but even analyze the data themselves. All statistical data is available in Excel format.
The website makes extensive use of the organizational features of ContentXL: subcategories for downloads, a tree view of all categories, popups for additional information, and sortable tables for uploads
There is also an interactive map of Aruba which CBS will make more use of in the future.

The Cinemas
January 2008 - CaribMedia delivers the website of The Cinemas. The Cinemas needed a modern redesign, with more flexibility and a user friendly navigation. The first challenge of the project was reeling it in: there was an open bid and several local companies offered their solutions. CaribMedia took the first place with their presentation about open standards, and a cool looking animated movie list. The Cinemas host the website and programmed interactivity. CaribMedia implemented a contact for with Re-Captcha. This technology protects forms from spam and at the same time helps historic books to be digitized.
Note: CaribMedia does not host or main The Cinemas' site. All changes after delivery are done by MetaCorp. See the original implementation.

Colegio San Antonio
October 2007 - CaribMedia has just launched the website of Colegio San Antonio, Santa Cruz. The school has had the tremendous opportunity of creating this website through a generous sponsorship of various Aruban organizations, among which are ArubaBank, AIB, CMB, WEB, Elmar and Garage Cordia. All parties are equally enthusiastic about the results, and the possibilities this opens for the school to adapt to a more modern way of communicating with teachers, parents and students. Parents are kept up to date through a mailing list system incorporated in the CaribMedia CMS (ContentXL).
Also, home work and exam dates are put into the system, and kept up to date on a daily basis. The class schedule is a downloadable file. So kids, if you're reading this, you don't have any excuse anymore for skipping class or homework!
